For anyone doing a lot of fly tying having four or five different pairs of scissors is a must. One set for hair, one set for wire, another pair that's curved, and perhaps some long ones for foam or whatever else. But that's not the tip, that's just a normality for most fly tiers.
Having lots of different scissors out on my desk gets kind of confusing, often times I try and cut some hair with wire scissors, which doesn't work because my wire scissors are dull from so much ... wire. So I color code my scissors with magic markers. Green for my general use scissors, red for wire, and black for hair. It reduces frustration and speeds things up a little.
