Carp have become a popular quarry among fly fisherman but they are hardly easy to find and catch. This little tip will make the former a little easier but the latter is completely up to a little skill and a lot of luck.
Carp are gluttonous pigs that love to eat and will always orientate themselves to food. If there's lots of food then there will be lots of carp. However carp will eat almost anything (other than a fly it sometimes seems) so food is constantly changing. One excellent way to find happy, feeding carp is to look for scum and dirty foam floating on the water. Current seems can form lines and pockets of this floating food which can draw massive pods of carp. Catching them is another matter altogether.
